Your Carbon Badge

The Dekko carbon badge summarizes your climate performance in a single indicator. It's automatically calculated from your assessment and can be shared with clients and partners.

Badge levels

The badge is assigned based on your total emissions divided by the number of employees. This ratio (tCO2e/employee/year) allows comparing companies of different sizes:

BadgeThreshold (tCO2e/employee/year)Meaning
Platinum< 5 tCO2eExceptional performance. Typical of service companies with well-insulated premises and electric heating.
Gold5 – 15 tCO2eVery good performance. The company has already made significant reduction efforts.
Silver15 – 40 tCO2eGood performance. Room for improvement exists, particularly in heating or vehicle fleet.
Bronze40 – 80 tCO2ePerformance to improve. The company likely has high-emitting sources (oil, diesel fleet) with significant reduction potential.
No badge> 80 tCO2ePerformance insufficient for a badge. AI recommendations will identify priority levers.

How is the badge calculated?

The calculation is simple and transparent:

  1. Dekko adds up all your emissions (Scope 1 + Scope 2) in tCO2e.
  2. This total is divided by the total number of employees in your company (all sites combined).
  3. The resulting ratio is compared to the thresholds above to assign the badge.

Concrete example

A company with 12 employees and 85 tCO2e total emissions: 85 / 12 = 7.08 tCO2e/employee → Gold Badge. If it reduces emissions to 55 tCO2e: 55 / 12 = 4.58 tCO2e/employee → Platinum Badge.

Share your badge

Once your assessment is completed and badge assigned, several sharing options are available:

  • Public link — Dekko generates a public page displaying your badge, assessment year, and tCO2e/employee ratio. Ideal for client CSR questionnaires.
  • Embeddable widget — An HTML code to copy-paste on your website. The badge displays in real-time and links to your public Dekko page.
  • In the PDF report — The badge appears on the cover page of your BEGES report, which you can attach to CSR responses.

Your badge is a business asset

More and more large companies require their suppliers to justify their carbon footprint. A Gold or Platinum badge in your email signature or on your website strengthens your CSR credibility and can make the difference in a tender.

Badge and CSR credibility

The Dekko badge is based on official ADEME factors and BEGES V5 methodology. It's not a self-declared label: it's calculated from verifiable data (invoices, records). This gives it credibility with your stakeholders.

Year over year, your badge shows your reduction trajectory. Moving from Bronze to Silver, then to Gold, demonstrates concrete and measurable commitment — far more convincing than a CSR charter without numbers.
