Emission Factor

Facteur d'émission

An emission factor is a coefficient that converts activity data (liters of fuel, kWh of electricity, km traveled) into CO2 equivalent. For example, the emission factor for road diesel is 3.16 kg CO2e/liter. These factors are provided by ADEME in the Base Carbone and are essential for carbon footprint calculations.
